After school, I went to university for 4 years to get my job today. But it can be done in 3 years too! There are also apprenticeship pathways you can take to become a scientist

I started my studies in 2013 and finished in 2020 (B.Sc. and M.Sc) but I went several times abroad and had other opportunities which made me study longer. But this does not mean that you can become a scientist only after a undergraduate degree! Sometimes opportunities occur which you should take if you want them, it does not matter if you studies are going to be longer than or not!

I spent four years getting my degree at university but there are many different paths. Apprenticeships and learning on the job means you will be working as you’re learning but takes longer to get formal recognition while there are some degrees that only take two or three years.

To get this job I studied science at university for 4 years. I am 23 now but I started being interested in science at school so its probably been about 10 years so far.

About 5 year, during my undergraduate and MSc, I decided to become a scientist, instead of finding a job.
